At Ballarat Gymsports we understand that during the early developmental years, kids have a specially designed and hidden On/Off switch they use when it comes to wanting to do things… especially pre-planned, that simply baffles the rest of us.

That’s why we offer more activities, more options and better still more times to allow for greater participation by both kids and parents.

AKTIVE KIDZ ASTEROIDS

In 2025 our Discovery based sessions have increased in numbers and have been updated and redesigned to align with our overall and progressive club programming. Our Asteroid sessions are a casual based attendance, therefore – NO BOOKINGS ARE REQUIRED. The sessions are a 45 minute Parent/Guardian assisted soft play discovery approach led by of our very experienced and qualified coaches.

Each session is designed to introduce children aged between 12months and 5years within the Gymnastic Movement Pattern’s (GMP’s) scheme, in a safe, challenging and fun way. Discovery and play are the natural tools that all children in this age range use to learn and develop, using soft play and bright colours along with engaging music helps to stimulate their social and creative processes. These sessions are perfect if you are not sure if your little one is ready for structured sessions, shift workers and highly recommended by many of Ballarat’s OT’s.

Each session costs $12 per child participating.

AKTIVE KIDZ COMETS and PLANETS

In 2025, we continue with splitting our sessions in to aged based activities to align with learning and development models of children to cater for the 2years to 3years and the 3years 6months to 5years 6months.

Each of these 45minute sessions runs in parallel with the other and builds on from the previous discovery approach. The sessions are a structured combined ninja & gymnastic approach under the direction of a qualified and specialist coaches, allowing each child to develop and optimise their social, physical and mental potential without the need of a parent/guardian helper. By assisting in developing their confidence these sessions are the perfect lead up or addition to Kindergarten and or School.

AKTIVE KIDZ ATOMS

We recognise that when your super gymnast progresses beyond the Planets stage in their abilities, that sessions after school may be difficult to organise, so we have now added our Atoms Classes to our Under 5 delivery model.

Each of these 45minute sessions builds on their already mastered skills and then takes it to the next level, challenging them even further whilst allowing them to train in a fun and quieter time slot.

MINI GYMNINJA

Mini GymNinja classes pack three of the hottest sporting activities for kids… Gymnastics, Obstacles and Parkour into one 45 minute session! Kids will participate in Ninja styled obstacle courses, rope climbs, trampolines and use of other gymnastics equipment to challenge not only their physical abilities but also their cognitive abilities. Strength, flexibility, coordination, agility and social interactive skills, along with fun is emphasized. Kids enrolling in to the Mini GymNinja program will receive their “Mini GymNinja uniform” after completing 3 sessions.

Mini GymNinja sessions are non-gender designed and aimed at those 5 years and under. Participants are expected to be able to participate without their parent/career, watch, follow instructions and listen to their Mini GymNinja Coach.

Enrolment Note:

Where there is a WAITING link against a class, this indicates a waiting list exists, by still completing the information, reception can then advise you when either an opening exists or a new class is created.

Existing members can also choose to re-enrol via their family portal site.

Fees Note:

Fee amount displayed, unless otherwise stated, is for a 2 week period. Where a participant is enrolled in multiple days, your invoice will reflect the adjusted amount.

Victorian Gymnastics Registration and Insurance fees are also applicable and payable upon enrollment (these fees may not be initially reflected on your invoice, in these instances they will be added manually and a new invoice sent).
